Here's an easy way to make two people feel slightly better about themselves today: smile at a random person on the street (or in the pub, etc). They'll get a warm glow, and hopefully you will to (unless you get a scowl back... I'm sure you won't!). Use some level of judgement though; if they're carrying a blood-soaked axe, you may want to choose somebody else.
