Make something out of paper-maché

Added by Dan Zambonini on 4th June, 2008

Flour, water and some old paper - that's all you'll need for an evening of mess and, potentially, something artistic at the end of it. Though probably just a mess.

You could cover a balloon, make an animal, or - probably more likely - make something rude.

Paint your dried creation for extra credit.

Having said all that, recycling your old paper would probably be better for the environment, rather than covering it in a floury gunk. But where's the fun in that?

I once made two dragons heads from paper-maché.

They now have pride of place in St Anne's school foyer!
